How to I prevent my wine glasses from smelling like wood from my new cabinets?
I have quality new cabinets w/glass doors that I use for wine glasses. they always have the smell and taste of either the wood or finish. I have put spacers on doors so they are open a slight bit, but doesn't help.

- Time will solve this problem but in the mean time, you could put the glasses elsewhere, wash them before use, or install an under-hung rack for them and permanently move them to the bottom of a cabinet.
- Two things. Make sure the glasses are 100% dry before putting them in the cabinet. Put several small containers of baking soda in the cabinet to absorb the odors. It sounds like your cabinet maker used a new type of finish. This is usually not a problem. I recomend using solid oak for wine cabinets.
- How about some self liner/macktack?...That would probably help.
