To be a bartender will you still be able to open wine&beeretc if u do not bring bottle openers and such?
Is it against health the law to bring your own tools, or is it required?

- Well, I worked as a bartender in CA, and all we had to bring was our reasonably coherent selves to work... If a bar doesn't have bottle openers, you better find a better bar....
- The bar would have all that......
- I worked in an Applebees in Georgia and while they provided tools, we were allowed to bring our own as well.
- Its always better to come prepared. When we hire our bartenders we tell them that. As a bar you try to give your staff all the tools but they manage to disappear somehow. Bring your own stuff its always better to not need it and have it then it is to need it and not have anything. heres a quick list that always got me buy and made me some extra cash. 1 pens at least 3 2bottle/ wine opener. ( they somehow manage to walk off) Ive even broken two while i was working. 3 matches 4 cigarettes (even if you dont smoke.. most drinkers do) 5 condoms ( if i have to explain you dont need them.) 6 safety pins ( always came in handy at the club i worked at.. many girls bra straps broke and this is their only savior...plus you get bonus points for helping them out.)
