How do I figure the Mechanical Advantage of a wine bottle opener?

One with the corkscrew, gears, and levers. As shown below: http://www.betterfinish.com.cn/images%5Cwine-bottle-openers%5C3.jpg http://img.alibaba.com/photo/233227916/Corkscrew_Wine_corkscrew_Wine_opener_Bottle_opener_.jpg I have tried to count the teeth of the the one I have in my hands but I can't open up to see how many or how big.

  1. Mechanical advantage goes on the length of the lever: the longer they are, the more leverage you get. So you need to measure the length of the two extension flaps that you use to pull out the cork. It is not related to the number of teeth.
